1. Who controls your personal data
Binding layer
The Institute of Scientific Instruments of the Czech Academy of Sciences, public research institution, ID No. 68081731, Královopolská 147, 612 64 Brno, Czech Republic (ISI CAS), operates Raman Base and is the controller of personal data processed through the service.

2. Data we process and why
Binding layer
Raman Base processes account and contact details, authentication and security records, content and metadata submitted by users, service communications, and aggregate usage data where Analytics consent is given. Processing supports account and service delivery, security, legal obligations, scientific operation, and consented aggregate analytics.

3. Legal bases
Binding layer
Depending on the activity, processing is necessary to perform the Terms of Use, comply with legal obligations, pursue ISI CAS's legitimate interests in secure scientific service operation, perform tasks in the public interest, or act on consent. Consent may be withdrawn at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

4. Recipients, transfers, and retention
Binding layer
Personal data may be handled by vetted service providers acting for ISI CAS and by public authorities where law requires. Any transfer outside the European Economic Area uses an applicable legal safeguard. Data are retained only as long as needed for the stated purpose, legal duties, dispute handling, and security.

5. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, and may withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection. Requests may be sent to legal@ramanbase.org.
